Step 1 Creating a Google Account:

  • Go to http://www.google.com
  • At the top right of your screen you will see Sign In (a blue button by default)

  • Type Webmaster Tools into the search box and the first result will be http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools -Click it.
  • Type your website URL (beginning with http://) in the box and click add site.

  • You can add Google WebMaster Tools many different ways; click the “Alternate methods” button to view other ways to install this program.

  • Log into your FTP-this is the location where your website is being stored. Then, the file you downloaded needs to be dropped within the .html file or .php file for WordPress users.
